Wood Anatomy Workshop PDF Print

The Wood Anatomy Workshop is scheduled for 13-23th September 2010 at the Forestry Research Institute of Ghana, Kumasi.  The objective of the workshop is to enhance the knowledge and skills of young African Scientists in wood anatomy and also to assist in the compilation of wood anatomical properties of African timbers. A consolidated list of 138 Timber species  has been drawn up for which standardized wood-anatomical descriptions will be made. The training and production workshop will have about 16 participants: 6 experienced instructors and 10 African trainees.  The workshop is being sponsored by International Tropical Timber Organisation (ITTO).
